Crawford, Kathleen “Kay” age 70 of Halifax, passed away peacefully September 23, 2012 at the QEII Health Science Centre. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late, Harold & Katherine (Allen) Chown. Kay was a long time employee of Atlantic Superstore. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling with her friends and family. Kay was very talented in doing a wide variety of crafts such as ceramics and toll painting. The warm and beautiful quilts she created for her family were made with such love and will provide us comfort in our days ahead. She is survived by her loving husband Marvin Mills. Son Robert (Darlene), daughter Karen, step son Jeffrey (Dana) Mills, step daughter Cindy Mills. Grandchildren Brandon, Dwayne, Kyla and Nathan. Sisters Eleanor (Frank) Cobbett, Debbie (Stephen) Stewart, Margie (Mike) Oblenis, Norma (Bud) Byers. Brothers Jackie (Joan) Chown. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Douglas, Gary and Billy. Cremation to take place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Visitation will be held 2pm-4pm Friday, October 5th, 2012 at Weir Field Hall, 2476 Sackville Drive, Upper Sackville. “Celebration of Life” open house will be held at Kay and Marv’s home, Stillwater Lake on Saturday October 6th, 2012 starting at noon. Burial at a later date. Donations to the National Parkinson Foundation.
