WELLS-PAPENHAUSEN, MARIAN - Marian Wells-Papenhausen passed away on October 1, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in London, England on March 30, 1942, daughter of the late Lena and Joseph Suckling. A pioneer in adult literacy, she was Director of the Saint John Learning Exchange for several years. She was also a well-known artist in the Saint John area and a strong advocate for the Saint John Arts Centre. She lost her beloved husband, Richard, in March 2004. She is also predeceased by her brother Leslie. She is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Gerry) Lindsay, Grand Bay-Westfield, Samantha (Al) Wells, London, Ontario; grandchildren, Jasmine, Adeya, Selena, Camrin; brothers, Bert (Joyce), Godfrey (Babs); sister, Jan (Tom).
