The death occurred at the Riverview Manor, Montague, Wednesday, April 2, 2008, of John A. Jamieson of Sturgeon, age 73 years. Survived by sisters, Melvina (Leonard) Smith, Mildred (Millie) Lacey and brother, Harvey, all of Sturgeon. Also survived by sister-in-law, Mildred Jamieson. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Philip and Annie (Blackett) Jamieson; brothers, Percy (Gladys), Alfred, Allan (Violet), Preston and infant brother, Joseph; and sisters, Pearl (Bill) Collins, Violet (Anaes) McGuigan, Evelyn (Alva) Fanning; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Jamieson and brother-in-law, Basil Lacey. Resting at Southern Kings and Queens Funeral Home, Murray River, for visitation on Friday, April 4, from 2-4 p.m. only. Funeral service to be held from St. Paul's Church, Sturgeon, on Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
