The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Thursday, April 3, 2008, of George Emmett Power, formerly of Miscouche, age 70 years. George was born in Miscouche, P.E.I., on October 9, 1937, to his late parents, Emmett and Maude (nee Connick) Power. Survived by his brother and sisters, Arnold (Betty) of Miscouche, Mary (Ernie) Clow of Slemon Park, and Florence (Richard) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Linda Power of Miscouche, and his nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother, Jim and special friend, Aggie MacWilliams. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Monday, April 7, 2008, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in George’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. John the Baptist Church Renovation Fund would be greatly appreciated.
