Beloved husband of Alice (nee MacKay). Dear father of Bud (Jane) McEwen, Miller (Debbie) McEwen, Donnie (Arlene) McEwen, Cindy McEwen and Leigh (Regina) Smith. Loving grandfather of Sherri (Rod Muller), Troy (Debbie), Randy (Dianne), Shonda (Glenn), Scott (Lori), Sidney (Anita), Misty (John Michael) Rossiter, Tasha (Faber MacDonald), Crystal (Nathan) Jay, Lindsay Hatton, Chris Smith, Collette (Mark) Vallee, Emily, Darren and Stephanie Smith. Step-grandchildren Kim (Paul) Pitt, Eric (Michaele) Quesnel and Scott Quesnel. Great-grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of Louis (Edith) and Freeman (Grace) McEwen and Mildred MacKay. Brother-in-law of Leonard Prior, Betty Foster, Velma (Ernie) Biggar and Doris MacKay. Predeceased by his parents, Bessie and Lester McEwen, sisters Beth Thompson and Louise Prior and great-grandson Jonah Jay. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday, from Peter Gordon United Church, Morell, at 11 a.m. Interment later in West St. Peters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Oncology Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or the Peter Gordon United Church would be appreciated.
