Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at Brookfield Hospital, Brookfield on September 30, 2012, Minnie Alma Gill (nee Heffern) age 95 years formerly of Pound Cove. Predeceased by her husband; Donald, parents; James and Irene Heffern, son-in-law; Clyde Kean, 3 brothers; Arthur, Ronald, Baxter and 1 sister; Blanche Ruby. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are 1 son; Noah William (Marie) of Pound Cove, 1 daughter; Mildred Kean of Labrador City with whom she resided , 3 sisters; Gertrude Lane of Eastport, Edith Hunter of Grand Falls-Windsor, Mildred King of Clarenville, 5 grandchildren; Donald, Douglas (Karen), Gregory, Jeffery, David (Tammy Coward), 3 great-grandchildren; Justin, Adam, Kimberly and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on October 3, 2012 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Pound Cove with Rev. Shaun O’Connor officiating assisted by Rev. Wayne Parsons. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Pound Cove. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home Pound Cove - Musgrave Harbour.
