It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Chesley Pelley announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Todd & Maria of Ottawa, ON, daughter Tina & Morgan White of Maple Ridge, BC, grandchildren: Melissa & Eric Pelley and Derek & Julia White, his friend and companion of 22 years Dorthy White and family, and Jean Kirby (mother of his children), siblings: Aubry & Mary, Mildred & Les, Art, Wilfred & Melita, John, Dallas & Joe, Lorne & Ruth. He was predeceased by daughter Gwen, January 19, 1982, mother Evelyn, January 26, 1988, father Stephen Pelley, April 2, 1966, sister Florence, September 9, 2012. Gordon served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 13, Corner Brook. Visitation has taken place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday October 11, 2012 from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and will take place today, Friday October 12, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
