
Vivien Noble
NOBLE, VIVIEN R. - With much sadness, the family of Vivien Roberta (Nason) Noble announces her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 11, 2012. Born in Rusagonis, NB on June 5, 1921, Vivien was the daughter of the late Perley and Lillian (Hubble) Nason. Vivien worked as a secretary with the New Brunswick Provincial Government and retired after 29 years of service. After retirement, she did volunteer work for the Canadian Red Cross and the Royal Canadian Legion and for over 20 years she knit mittens and socks which she donated to the Salvation Army every Christmas. Vivien was a member of the Brunswick Street Baptist Church in Fredericton. She was an avid reader, had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. Vivien is survived by her daughter Sharon Noble (Derek Price) of New Zealand and by her sons Nelson and Ronald of Fredericton and Gagetown respectively. She was predeceased by her daughter JoAnne Beaucage and her son Carl. Vivien is also survived by sisters Verna (Alyre) Daigle of Lincoln, and Florence Jones of Saint John and brother Arthur (Lorraine) Nason of Rusagonis and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special cousin and lifelong friend, Myrtle Fox.
At Vivien’s request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Woodstock Road, Fredericton with Reverend Dr. Terry Atkinson officiating. A reception will be held at the Brunswick Street Baptist Church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivien’s memory can be made to the Food Bank or the Homeless Shelter.
