McDONALD, (WEBB) SUSAN J. – Susan Jean (Webb) McDonald of Quispamsis, wife of Peter J. McDonald, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Scarborough, Ontario on September 14, 1962, she was a daughter of Dennis and Jean Trowse. Susan worked the Atlantic Superstore, and most recently at Kings Way Care Centre. She was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay, where she taught Sunday School and was involved with youth programs. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, and when her children were young she volunteered with Girl Guides and coached soccer for seven years. She loved animals, especially her dogs Dasher, Miki, and Patches, but most of all enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Susan is survived by her husband, Peter; her parents, Dennis and Jean Trowse of Uxbridge, Ontario; her son, Alex Webb (Kelsey Dean) of Hartland; her daughter, Melissa Webb (Adam Rogers) of Halifax; her one year old grandson, Dominic; her sister, Christine Trowse (Ross Mills) of Uxbridge; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth McDonald of Rothesay; her former mother-in-law, Nettie Webb of Prince Edward Island; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins on both sides of the Atlantic. Susan was predeceased by her first husband, Floyd John Webb; and by her former father-in-law, John William Webb.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 12:00 Noon from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances to Kings Way Care Centre Resident’s Fund, the Children’s Wish Foundation, or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers.
