CROPLEY, ALTHENE M. - Althene May Cropley of Saint John, wife of the late Earle J. Cropley, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, October 12, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (MacKenzie) McConnell. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Medical Radiation Technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John. Althene is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Cropley (Gail) of Saint John, Paul Cropley (Debbie) of Strathroy, ON, Deborah Cochran (John) of Bloomfield, Ronald Cropley (Cathy) of Saint John, Daniel Cropley (Sheryl) of Strathroy, Donald Cropley (Tracey) of Quispamsis, Terry Cropley (Krista) of Quispamsis, and Lorna Carrier (Ron) of Saint John; a sister, Mary-Lou Kitchen of London, ON; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Althene was predeceased by a sister, Roberta Lynch.
A private funeral service was held on Monday, October 15, 2012 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John. Interment took place in Fernhill Cemetery.
