Passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the presence of his loving family, Boyd Pretty of Dildo, aged 91 years.
Predeceased by parents: Samuel and Louise Pretty, Step-mother Sarah Pretty, brothers; Atwood (Genevieve), Arthur (Elizabeth), Colin (Rita), Jim (Susie) and Graham; two sisters, Martha and Marjorie Dawe (Clarence).
Leaving to mourn to celebrate his life with thanksgiving are: his loving wife and best friend of 55 years, Viola (Nee Morgan), 2 children; son Robert (Karen), Daughter Rhonda (Fred) King, 4 precious grandchildren Tegan, Stephen, Pamela and Ayla. He is also lovingly remembered by a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo on Monday October 15th 10am until time of funeral.
The funeral service will be held from All Saints’ Church, Dildo on Wednesday October 17th at 2pm. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Boyd’s memory may be made to All Saints’ Anglican Church, Dildo.
