MUISE, Delmer Foch – 93, of Pleasant Lake, passed away October 11, 2012 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Melbourne on December 6, 1918, he was a son of the late Alfred and Gertrude Jane (Clairmont) Muise. Delmer was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 155, Wedgeport. Delmer worked as a carpenter on the subway in Toronto. He also worked on the AVRO. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane R (d’Entremont) Muise; children, Elaine (Alfred) Snow; Bruce J (Janice); Maxine (Raymond) Fournier; Michael (Candace); Jean (Alexander) Zaychuk; Brian (Sheila); 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Mike and Lindsay; sisters, Lillian Woodworth, Norma Vautour and Eileen Crawley. He was predeased by sisters, Lena Jacquard, Bessie Pothier and Blanche Lively; brothers, Aubrey, Bradford, Harvey, Willard, James, Kenneth and two in infancy. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilsons Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, visitation was from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday with a legion service at 7:30 p.m. and prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father John McPherson officiated. Interment was held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery after the service. Donations in Delmers memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
