SIM: Stella Myrle Sim, age 90 years, passed away at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre, Saturday, October 13,2012. A memorial service was held at the Alliance Church, Gull Lake, SK. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 with Pastor Gordon Willison officiating. The organist for the service was Clara Butler and the Ladies of the Royal Purple were in attendance. The interment of her cremated remains will take place in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery , Verlo district, SK at a later date. Stella is survived by her two son's: David of Calgary, AB and Norman of Regina, SK. and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents: Harry and Stella Seaman; her husband Rae Sim and sisters: Lily, Molly, Helen and Phylis. Stella was born in Gull Lake, SK. April 21, 1922. She attended school at Standing Rock School in the Hazlet district. SK. On February 14,1943 was united in marriage to Rae E. Sim in Medicine Hat, AB. She was a long time member of the Elk's Royal Purple Lodge in Gull Lake. Stella enjoyed painting and decorating cakes. She was very active in her church and taught Sunday School for many years.
