PARKER, WAYNE A. - With sadness the family announces the passing of Wayne Arnold Parker of Saint John, which occurred on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Born August of 1942 he was the son of the late Walter and Christine (Cosman) Parker. Wayne was an Automotive Mechanic; in earlier days he worked for Purdy’s and Renforth Irving, later retiring from Saint John Spring Works. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing and was an avid Nascar fan. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Anne; son Guy Parker of Fredericton; daughters Lenora “Leni” Parker of Montreal, QC; and Sarah Parker (Dino Bellmare) of Port Moody, BC; stepsons Chris Ewart (Heidi) of Saint John and Brent Tait (Jennifer) of Saint John; brothers Fred (Maxine) of Stickney, NB, Murray (Phyllis) and Pat (Marge) both of Hoyt; sister Susan McCann (Lloyd) of Hoyt; precious grandchildren Camden, Emma and Gabby; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, October 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, IWK or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
