Dad loved sports, hockey and baseball, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was an avid card player and spent many years playing cards on Saturday night with dear friends. He worked in sawmills for most of his adult years, most recently at Tolko (Heffley) from where he retired. Dad was born in Kelowna and raised in Rutland until he moved to Savona to work in a mill and met his future bride. Dad was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, which always included a dog or two.
The family wishes to extend our warmest thanks to the staff and volunteers at Overlander.
Donations in George's memory may be made to the SPCA.
There will be no service, as that was his request.
