
Weldon Chase
CHASE, WELDON FRASER - Weldon Fraser Chase formerly of Oromocto, NB, passed away on October 26th, 2012 at the Oromocto Public Hospital at the age of 93. He was the son of the late Marshall and Minnetta (Richardson) Chase. Weldon was born in 1919 at Lower Brighton NB. Weldon was a veteran of WWII and continued on in the Canadian Army until retirement in 1969. He was a founding member of the New Brunswick Denturist Society and practiced this trade for four decades in Oromocto. Weldon was a proud member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 93 Oromocto. Weldon is survived by his sons; Ronald (Ida) of Riverview NB, Richard (Wendy) of Fredericton and a daughter Shirley (Mac) Campbell of Australia, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy and a daughter Elaine.
By request there will be no visitation or service. A family graveside service will follow cremation at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland NB. Bishop’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with Weldon’s arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Fredericton Meals on wheels.
