ROBICHAUD, BASILICE - 1928 - 2012 - Basilice (Bessie) Robichaud, 84 of Cocagne, passed away peacefully at the Dr. George L. Dumont University Center Hospital on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Born in Saint-Joseph de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W and the late Melina (Caissie) Leblanc. Prior to her retirement in NB, she lived for over forty years in Fitchburg, Ma. She was first employed with the Independent Lock company and later on built a small business (paint and wallpaper). Never being afraid of hard work, she learned to speak English and run her own company. She enjoyed horses and playing skip-bo. Sne of her favorite traditions was making poutine rapé on Christmas Eve which she shared with family and friends. She was a very positive person with a great sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by her lifelong companion Josephat Robichaud, her four daughters: Annette Boucher of Leominster, Ma, Linda Thibodeau (Jean-Guy), Joanne Lavoie (Paul) both of Fitchburg, Jean Robichaud of Cocagne, her two sons: Rheal (Pete) of Cape Cod, Henry (Sonny) and his wife Brenda of Gardner, Ma, her three sisters: Odila Leblanc of Shediac, Yvonisse Bourque (Alonzo) of Grande-Digue and Laura Leblanc of Leominster, several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Basilice was predeceased by a son Paul, an infant daughter Diane, a grand-daughter Julie, and two sisters: Ita and Irene and four brothers: Arthur, Willie, Léonard and Donald.
Visitations and Funeral Mass will be held at a later date in Fitchburg, Ma. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
