
Reta Tapp
TAPP, RETA - Reta Tapp, 98, wife of the late Gerald Tapp, of Manoir Notre-Dame and formerly of Lockhart Avenue, Moncton, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born October 4, 1914 in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Adelaide (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Reta was a retired R.N. having graduated in 1939 from St-Luc Hospital in Montréal. She attended St-Augustine’s R.C. Church, and was a 50-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxilliary and the C.W.L. She will be sadly missed by her three children: Maureen (Loraine) and René (Catherine) all of Ottawa, Gene (Denise) of Irishtown; five grandchildren: Lisa, Jessica, Julia, Serge, Janice; five great-grandchildren: Nicolas, Mathieu, Grace, Julie, and Ryan; many nieces, and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family of 10.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 30th at 2 p.m., Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 1 p.m. In memory of Reta, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
