
Lester Wilson
WILSON, LESTER - Lester Allan Wilson, 72, aka Whiz, of Havelock passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a sudden illness. Born and raised in Harewood, he was a son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Wilson. Lester retired from the Department of Transportation in Salisbury after 20 years service. He was an active member and Past President of the Havelock Lions Club and a Past President of the Havelock Legion Branch # 86. He enjoyed gardening especially his strawberries and was always ready to lend a cheerful helping hand. Survived and sadly missed by his wife of 41 years Sheila (nee Mitton); his children Jeffrey of Havelock, Jennifer Wilson of Moncton, Joann Wilson (Tom) of The Glades; grandchildren Savannah and Dawson of The Glades; sisters Bernice Murphy (Jerry) of Lance, N.S., Eileen Carr and Joan Dean of Salisbury and by several nieces nephews. Predeceased by brothers Walter and John (Jack).
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday 6 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
