HEIGHTON, Roberta Mae ‘Bert’- 88 of East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash and formerly of River John, passed away peacefully October 26, 2012 in the lodge. Born in Welsford, she was daughter of the late Bertram & Sarah (Langille) Fraser. After working at Stanfield’s in Truro, and the Pictou Shipyard, she spent most of her married life in the food service business with her husband. She is survived by daughters, Ann (Robbie) Heighton, River John; Bev (Bob) Dwyer, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Robert, Randy (Tanya), Sheila ( Jason), Gordon (Alexis) and Rochelle (Blake); great grandchildren , Steven, Baileigh, Nole and Brent; several nieces and nephews; sister in law Chris Fraser; special sister Betty Howlett. She was predeceased by her husband Lindsay and a brother Bruce. Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM on Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday in St. George’s Presbyterian Church, River John with Rev. Dr Glen Matheson and Rev. Gregory Dickson officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Rd.
