Keith Wilson
WILSON, KEITH - Keith Wilson, 81, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Driscoll) Wilson. Keith retired from the Accounting Department at Via Rail with over 41 years service. He attended First Baptist Church Moncton for 81 years and was one of the oldest living members. A former Deacon, Keith was heavily involved with church activities. Keith was a member of the Men’s Probus Club of Greater Moncton and was an avid horse enthusiast who loved horse shows and his horses which he boarded on Trafalgar Road. His collection of antique sleighs, wagons and harnesses also gave him much enjoyment. He had a passion for reading, history and learning. Keith delved into his genealogy with enthusiasm and was proud of his United Empire Loyalist heritage. Since 1939 his summers were spent at the family cottage in Edgewater where he delighted in nature and his sailboat. Keith also loved his cats, Theo, Sophie and Sydney; but first and foremost he enjoyed spending time with his family. Keith will be sadly missed by his wife of over 51 years, Carol (Stevens) Wilson; daughter Marbeth Wilson of Moncton; sister, Harolyn Panatta (Frank) of Toronto and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation hours by personal request. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Moncton on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2:30 pm, with Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson officiating. A reception will be held in the church vestry following the service. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements. In Keith’s memory, donations to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or the Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.fergusonknowlesfh.com
