HARRIS, MARY VERONICA - Surrounded by family, Vonnie Harris of Haneytown, NB passed away peacefully on her 94th birthday, October 30th, 2012 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Margaret Mahoney and wife of Edward "Ted" Harris. Vonnie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ted; her son Jack and his wife Connie; grandchildren, Anne Atyeo (Stephen), David Harris, Crystal Cordell (Trevor), Michelle Larsen (Corey), Angela Pierre-Louis (Vilo), Natalie Harris and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her son Jim Harris and grandson James Harris. The family wish to express thanks to the palliative care unit at the Oromocto Public Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Peter Fraser for going above and beyond in all of Vonnie's care.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, November 1st, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
