Passed away at the age of 91, in Midland, Ont., on April 13, 2008. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Doris Thomson; two sons, Peter (Anne Merete) of Midland and Patric (Linda) of Cardigan, P.E.I.; and his grandchildren, Jess, Kirstin, Joel and Jessica Fry. Arthur was born in Gormley, Ont. He owned and operated two bakeries, first in Caledon East, Ont., and after his service in the Second World War, a bakery/store in Midland. He also spent 28 years with Schneiders in Kitchener, Ont. He and Doris loved their summer visits to P.E.I. for 22 consecutive years. Art’s wishes for a private burial have been carried out.
