Marie Ann MacNeill, 63, of Vancouver, passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer Oct 14, 2012 in Vancouver.
Up to week of going to Hospice, she was lovingly cared for by her brothers and especially her sister, Alice, who was always by her side.
Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late James and Veronica MacNeill.
Marie taught in the public school systems of Victoria and Vancouver for 25 years and was a beloved and dedicated teacher and friend to many.
She is survived by her son, Meko, granddaughters, Meara and Maria, all of Victoria, sisters Neata (Carroll) Wilcox, Truro, Alice of Vancouver, brothers Leslie (Marcia), Vancouver, Donald (Debra) , Victoria, David (Peggy) Berwick and Robert, Ottawa, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a half brother, Frank Glaveen of St. Adele, Quebec.
