POIRIER, WINNIFRED - 1922-2012- Winnifred Poirier, 90 of Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent, passed away peacefully at the Manoir on Thursday, November 1, 2012; she was married to the late Louis Léo Poirier. Born in Saint-Anne de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Alban and the late Amanda (Babineau) Richard. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Patricia Poirier (Joseph Nasr) of Ottawa, Gloria Wilson (William) of Hampton, NB, Rose Poirier of Saint-John and Carmella Poirier-Carhart (Christopher) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, her sons: Rudolphe (Ruth) of Moncton and Paul (Anne) of Sainte- Anne de Kent, her eleven grandchildren, her four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Winnifred was predeceased by three infant sons: Emerie, Robert and Norman, one sister Carmella and two brothers: Emerie and Rodolphe.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from to 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, and on Monday from 9 to 9:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held in the Sainte-Anne Church on Monday at 10am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Winnifred`s memory donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund or to a charity of the donor`s choice would be appreciated by the family.
