Passed peacefully away in his home surrounded by his loving family, on All Souls’ Day, Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at age 73. Honourary Member of the 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus. Predeceased by his parents Mary (Whelan) and Thomas Young Sr., cousins, Regina Ryan and Sheila Power, father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Madeline Coady, brothers-in-law Tom, Paul, and Frank Coady. Giving thanks for his life are his wife Mary (nee Coady); four children and nine grandchildren: son John and his wife Michelle Bailey and their children Maeve and Liam; daughter Madeline and her children, Kathleen, Michael and Amelia Shallow; son Paul and his wife Deanne and their son Matthew; daughter (Mary) Elizabeth and her husband Phillip Hollett and their children Malcolm, Camilla and Cecilia; brother Richard Young and his wife Carol of Tilton; sister Frances Whalen and her husband Bill of Spaniard’s Bay; brother Tom Young and his wife Paula of Ontario; brother Terry Young of Carbonear; sister Agnes Trainor and her husband David of Spaniard’s Bay; sister-in-law Geraldine Young of Tilton and their families. Kevin was a much loved member of the Coady family. Left to mourn are: Theresa O’Neil of Spaniard’s Bay; Margaret Zabel of Ontario; Elizabeth Walsh and his husband Nick of Bay Roberts; Jim Coady and his wife Helen of Hr Grace; Angela Doyle and her husband Joe of Hr Grace; Anna Mondelli and her husband Frank of Ontario; Joan Sullivan and her husband Ron of Riverhead Hr Grace; Kevin Coady and his wife Marg of St. John’s and their families. Also leaving to mourn are his treasured cousins and their families: Gerald Fitzgerald and his wife Mae of Spaniard’s Bay; Ron Fitzgerald and his wife Donna of Spaniard’s Bay; Phonse Fitzgerald of Ontario; Brenda Fitzgerald of St. John’s; Carolyn Bishop and her husband David of St. John’s and Gerald Power of St. John’s. He will be sadly missed by, his dear friends in the U.S.A; Carol Ann (Hearn) Smith; Johnny and Maureen Hearn; Betty (Hearn) and Paul Ewing and their families. Also, by his bothers of the Knights of Columbus, other friends and good neighbours. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Saturday, November 3rd, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 5th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Smithsville Crescent. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Project Restoration Fund, c/o Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, P. O. Box 299, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
