It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mamie Coombs of Shoal Cove, NL, announces her passing on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s at the age of 63 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Angus; son Tony (Jennifer); sisters Vivian (Steadman), Rowena (Cosmo), Elizabeth (Archibald), Bessie (Steward), Lavinia, Belinda (Steven), and Olga (Melvin); brothers Lambert (Iris), and Israel (Kathleen), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Lambert and Eva Coombs. Visitation took place at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Reef’s Harbour on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service was held on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. H. Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the French Cove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
