It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Leamon announces her sudden passing at her residence on Saturday November 17, at the age of 75 years. Born at Burnt Islands, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Wendell and Harriet Keeping. She was also predeceased by her loving husband Reginald on December 10, 2011, brother Herman Keeping, sisters in law; Phyllis Keeping and Jean Leamon. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children; Wendell (Jennifer) Port aux Basques, Todd (Edith) Rose Blanche, Evelyn (Woody) Keeping Gander NL, Austin (Lori Ann) Airdre Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Steven, Sheldon, Shane, Brandon, Charles, Jenna, Bradley, Brady. Great grandchildren Griffin and Clara. Brothers; Montford Keeping Port aux Basques, Roy (Rose) Keeping, Harold (Belinda) Keeping, sister Mabel (George) Keeping, sister in law Lillian Keeping all of Burnt Islands. Brothers in law; Clarence Leamon, Charles (Maggie) Leamon, Tom (Shirley) Leamon, Gordon Leamon all of Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Wednesday November 21, 2 PM at Wesley United Church officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie. Interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway.
