HAMILTON, MINNIE ROSE - The death of Minnie Rose Hamilton widow of Herman Hamilton of Miramichi, NB, and formerly of Matthews Settlement, NB occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the age of 97. Born in Boom Road, NB, Minnie was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ellen (Touchie) Mullin. Minnie retired from teaching in 1980 from NSEE and was an honorary member of the retired teachers association. Minnie is survived by two daughters: Villa Urquhart (Marlin) of Miramichi, NB and Elinor Leach (Hayward) of Ottawa, ON; one son: Willis (Marge) of Saint John, NB; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Minnie is predeceased by two sisters: Villa Somers and Edrie Somers.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 25, 2012 @ 2 PM with Pastor Kevin Matthews. Burial will take place in the Little Southwest Baptist Cemetery, Sillikers, NB. In Minnie's memory a donation may be made to the NSER Alumni or the Miramichi Area Retired Teachers Association.
