ROBINSON, John Gilbert – 79, of Cottage Street, Pictou, passed away on November 23, 2012. Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late John & Alice Robinson. John worked at the Pictou Shipyard as a Plater for 33 years and was a talented carpenter on the side. He always loved being out on the water. He is survived by his daughter Aleasa (Geoff) and son John (Kelly); sisters, Doris (Leo) and Mary (Ed); brother, Ronnie (Cecilia); numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Francis and Ella, and brothers Thomas, Cyril, Ansel and Albert. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 on Monday and funeral service will be held on at 11 AM on Tuesday, both in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
