SHIRLEY BEATRICE WALSH
August 31, 1932 ~ November 21, 2012

Shirley Beatrice Walsh passed away peacefully on November 21, 2012, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on August 31, 1932 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the youngest child and only daughter of William Kidd Best and Florence Beatrice Elizabeth Wootton. She grew up on a farm near MacDowall, Saskatchewan, until the age of 16, when she moved to Terrace, B.C. with her family. After many years there, she and her husband moved to Kamloops, where she has lived since 1972.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband Jim, her brothers, William and George and her daughter-in-law Marlene. She is survived by her loving children Linda (Paul), Tom and foster daughters, Barbara and Beverly (Brian); her beloved granddaughters, Catherine, Rachel and Kaylie; brothers Arnold and Clifford and numerous other relatives and friends.

Shirley was a warm and selfless person who took great delight in helping others in any way she could. Her strong faith in God has sustained her through the many hardships and challenges she experienced in her life.

A service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, December 1st, at 11:00 am at Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle 1550 Tranquille Road, Kamloops BC with Pastors Darrell Hellquist and Al Robbins officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
