The death occurred, with his family at his side, on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary, of Wilbert “Bert” Harold Thomson of Roseville aged 81, beloved husband of Marion (nee Cousins). Bert was born on March 27, 1931, in Roseville, son of the late John and Mildred (McInnis) Thomson. Cherished father to Danny (Nora), Brockton; Robert, Paul (Wilma) and Susan, all of Roseville. Loving grandfather to Sheena (Oliver Fern), Alex, Parker and Christopher. Dear brother to Leith (Esther) Thomson, Summerside; Don (Shirley) Thomson, Lois Smith, Ruth (Thane) Cousins all of Ontario. Brother-in-law to James Palmer, Lady’s Slipper Villa, O’Leary; Miriam Thomson, O’Leary; Warren (Barbara) Cousins, Prince George, B.C.; Carol Thomson, Calgary, Alta.; Donna (Leigh) Thomson, Barbara (Fred) Eagle all of Prince George, B.C.; John (Bethany) Cousins, Bloomfield; George (Bethany) Cousins,Campbellton, and Rosalie (Trevor) Webb, Woodstock. Bert was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ruby Palmer, brother Ken and three brothers in infancy, brothers-in-law Alvin Thomson and Alvin Smith. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the Miminegash United Church Cemetery.
