SACKVILLE, N.B.- It is with great sadness that the family of Irene May Trenholm announce her passing on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville. Irene was 86 years of age.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, on October 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George and Hestle (Robinson) Creasey.
Irene was a member of the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, Women’s Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, George (Helen) of Truro, N.S. and Gary (Heather) of Middle Sackville, N.B.; daughter, Joanne (Stewart) Thompson of Amherst, N.S.; nine grandchildren, Darcy Trenholm (Amy), Curtis Trenholm, Sabrina (Chris) Stright, Chandace Trenholm (James Estabrooks), Travis Trenholm (Cassandra Wyrwas), Courtney Thompson (Elliott McCaffey), Colin Thompson (Emily Colpitts), Devon Thompson (Kayla Smith) and Hannah Thompson; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Trenholm and Geraldine Trenholm and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Irene was pre-deceased by her husband of 65 years, Albert Beverley Trenholm, who passed away on November 11, 2012.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Middle Sackville Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Middle Sackville Baptist Church Building Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
