We, the Stephenson family, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of kindness and support shown to us at a time of such great loss. Your expressions of sympathy through prayers, charitable donations, floral tributes, food brought to our homes and visits to the funeral home were very much appreciated. We were truly grateful for the support of family and friends who travelled from near and far to visit mother at home, in the hospital and after her passing. To all who participated in the funeral mass, we wish to express our thanks. We would like to extend a special thank you to Father Ray Huntley, Father Reg Currie, Father Leo Cordeau, and the choir of St. Leonard's Parish. We wish to thank St. Leonard's CWL for the touching honour guard and the lovely luncheon after the funeral. Mother was a proud member of the CWL and she would have been very touched by your presence. We felt privileged to have so many family and friends share this mass with us. A thank you is also extended to the staff of McGillivray Funeral Home. Your professionalism and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital staff who cared for our mother during her extended stay. Special thanks to Dr. Cohen and the nursing staff on 4B. To the Aging Gracefully Group, thank you. Mother enjoyed your companionship throughout the years and she looked forward to your weekly gatherings. We wish to offer a special thank you to the staff at Maple Hill Manor. Although our mother was with you for a short time, you welcomed us with open arms and we truly felt at home in your presence. Finally, to everyone who visited, we appreciated you taking the time to share your memories with us. Mother had such a wonderful life, and your stories were a great source of comfort to us all.
