Morrison, Edith - Mrs. Edith Mary Morrison of Apohaqui passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 29, 2012 at the age of 99. Born in Millville on May 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James and Rosetta (Lowe) Young and was the wife of the late Gordon A. Morrison. Edith is survived by her daughter, Louise Secord and her husband Lloyd of Apohaqui, NB; sons, James Morrison and his wife Mary of Mechanic Lake, NB and Ronald Morrison of Apohaqui; six grandchildren, David Morrison (Beth) of Rockville, Andrew Morrison of Apohaqui, Donald Morrison of Sussex, Steven Secord, Gordon Secord and his wife Rosalind of Apohaqui and Mary Robertson (David) of Truro, NS; Eleven great-grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Zara, Michelle, Miranda, Mark, Malcolm Abby, Ben, Liam and Laura; her cousin Marjorie of Fredericton as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Edith was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Young and a sister Ethel Young. Edith was a member of the Sussex Baptist Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 6 to 9pm. A service celebrating Edith’s life will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1:00pm. The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
