COMEAU, ROGER - (1927-2012) - ALDOUANE, NB - Roger Comeau, 85, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, Rexton on Thursday, November 29, 2012. Born in Aldouane, he was the son of the late Arthur Comeau and Brigitte (Robichaud) Comeau. He attended St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, Richibucto. Roger joined the Army and then the Royal Canadian Air Force and retired after 21 years in 1972 as Fire Department Sergeant and Instructor. He returned home and worked as a carpenter for Kent Homes and then a guard for Kouchibouguac National Park. He then purchased a fishing boat "Marie Maria" and fished until he retired. He loved fishing, travelling, hunting and his children dearly. Roger will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Germaine (Daigle) Comeau of Richibucto, his six children; Bertha Comeau of Quebec City, Anita Pim (Don) of Orillia, Linda Comeau of Aldouane, Gary Comeau of Moncton, Maria McDonald (Jack) of Moncton, Marie Comeau of Grand Barachois, thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Roger was also survived by three sisters; Dorina Eaton (late Bill) of Montreal, Lilianne Slight (Eugene) of Val David, Doris Robichaud (Freddy) of Laval and several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents, three sisters; Freda, Antoinette, Bertha and one brother; Vincent.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Monday noon until time of funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm, Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
