It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Embery Rose (Torchy) Miles at the Glace Bay Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 with family at her side.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jessie Bray.
She was employed at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home for many years and later did home care. Rose was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her sons Thomas (Irene) Dominion, Kenneth (Sue) Petawawa Ont., Kevin, home, Blair (Pam) Oromocto N.B.; sisters Lillian MacInnis and Marjorie Burke of Glace Bay. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Fred; brothers Josiah, Robert, Gerald, Milton; and sisters Gertrude Wilson and Pauline Joinson.
Visitation for the late Rose Miles will take place on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., Dec. 3, 2012 in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Glace Bay with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating followed by burial in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Centerville.
