
Earl Melanson
MELANSON, EARL EUGENE - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on December 4, 2012, Mr. Earl Eugene Melanson of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born at Blacks Harbour on November 7, 1959 he was a son of the late Edward and Emeline (Mullin) Melanson. A loving brother, nephew and friend, Earl is survived by his brothers; Robert (Brenda) of Back Bay, NB, Paul (Brenda) of Blacks Harbour, Donald (Debbie) of Woodstock, NB and Mark (Laurie) of Blacks Harbour, his sisters; Dianne (Alex) Savoy of Blacks Harbour, Gail (Roy) MacLennan of Second Falls NB, Joanne (Emile) Chevarie of Blacks Harbour and Carolyn (Edgar) Benoit of Tracadie-Sheila, NB, two uncles; Leo (Lena) Melanson of Worcester, MA and David Mullin of Weymouth, NS, two aunts; Anne (Alphonse) Comeau of Maces Bay, NB and Julia Chestna of Worcester, his special friend, Gordie McGarrigle of Blacks Harbour and many nieces, nephews and cousins. For much of his working career, Earl was employed by Connors Bros in Blacks Harbour. He was an avid wrestling fan who enjoyed taking Roman and Dylan to matches. He will be fondly remembered as a “car guy” who enjoyed working on cars and could be found driving around in his white convertible. Earl was a long time member of the Blacks Harbour Volunteer Fire Department, serving over 25 years, and was honored to lead a life of service to his community. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 pm with Father Rolando Suplido officiating followed by the interment at the Stella Maris Catholic Cemetery, Blacks Harbour, NB. Visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
