
Napoléon Doiron
DOIRON, NAPOLÉON - Napoléon Doiron, 90, husband of the late Aurore Doiron of the Villa Providence and formerly of Winter St., Shediac passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his residence. Born in Shediac, September 27, 1922, he was the son of the late Napoléon and Euphroisine (Comeau) Doiron. Before his retirement, he was a Federal Commissionaire. A D Day veteran of the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Army, NB Rangers in Woodstock, Sussex, Cape-Breton, Debert, Labrador, and with the Mont-Royal Fusiliers in England, France, Holland, Belgium and in Germany, where he was injured in battle as a Sargent March 4th, 1945. He was a member with the Royal Canadian Legend Branch #33 of Shediac. Napoleon will be sadly missed by his son, Terry (Alfreda) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; two adoptive sisters: Sarah Vansnick of Moncton and Patsy LeBlanc of Shediac; three grandchildren: Sylvette, Carole and Luc, as well as five great grandchildren: Sébastien, Samuel, Patrick, Ryan and Céline. He is predeceased by his wife, Aurore Doiron (2011), a son, Joseph, four brothers: Olivier, Thadée, Louis and Gérard, and by four sisters: Obeline, Madeleine, Bernadette and Eugénie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to time of departure (10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the St-Joseph Parish cemetery. In memory of Napoléon, a contribution to the St-Joseph cemetery would be appreciated.
