DUGAS, Florence Alberta – 86, of Yarmouth, formerly of Comeau’s Hill, passed away November 29, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Comeau’s Hill on June 8, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Rene and Lucy (Jacquard) Fitzgerald. Florence is survived by her children, Evelyn Hatfield; Joyce (Garth) Cole; Marrion (Malcolm) Wallace; Lucy Dugas; Freeman (Gail) Dugas; Allen (Darlene) Dugas; sisters, Gertrude Surette and Margaret Clairmont; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Dugas; daughter, Darlene MacKinnon; siblings, Hazel, Katie, Edgar, Willard and Delbert. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with visitation from 2-4 and again 7-9 p.m. Sunday, December 2. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 3 in Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Comeau’s Hill, Father John MacPherson officiated. An interment was held in the parish cemetery following the service. Donations in Florence’s memory may be made to Saint Gabriel’s Cemetery Fund or a charity of one’s choice. Family flowers only.
