It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Cecilia Mae Edmond (nee MacIntyre) of Glace Bay, on Dec. 6, 2012 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born on Jan. 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice (Webb) MacIntyre.
Beloved wife of Bernard Louis Edmond, cherished mother of Lucinia (Rick), Denise (Terry), Joseph (Ria), Cathie, Bernard & Ronald.
Predeceased by her brother, Joseph (Eileen) her sisters, Kay (Cameron), Leona (Charles).
Survived by her brother, Bernard MacIntyre (Janet). Beloved grandmother to Lisa, Richard, Sheri, David, Amanda and Mark. Blessed with two great-grandchildren, Annabel and David. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Friends may pay their respects on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay from 12-2 p.m. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Norman MacPhee will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service with interment at a later date.
