March 3, 1928 –May 3, 2008 “Johney Mac” died peacefully at home with his daughter, Bonnie, and granddaughter, Angela, by his bedside. He will be sadly missed by his two other daughters, Dianne (Alberta), Holly (New Westminster) and their families; sister Claudette MacMillan (P.E.I.); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several relatives in B.C. and P.E.I.. He was predeceased by his beloved Louise Beauchesne (1989), his daughter Dawn Melodie, his parents Claude and Mildred (Beaton) MacMillan (P.E.I.), and his brothers Robert, Maynard and Duke. In his early years he served as a Merchant Marine and later worked for the Riverview Hospital. He enjoyed his pet birds and spent many hours in the company of his family and friends. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 45 years. Funeral Service held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam.
