NICKERSON, WILLIAM E. “BILL” – It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Bill Nickerson who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 9th, surrounded by his loving family. Born September of 1948 in Yarmouth, NS, he was the son of Valerie Nickerson of Saint John and the late Emery Nickerson. Besides his mother, Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years Hilda (Koski) of Saint John; daughters Heidi Smith (Kevin Moss) and Lewanna Nickerson both of Saint John; two precious granddaughters Madison and Rylee; sister Coral Brannen of Saint John; nieces, nephews, friends and feline friends Stuart Little and Big Foot. Besides his father; Bill was predeceased by brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Bonnie Nickerson; and brother-in-law Bob Brannen. Bill was a Courier Driver and retired in later years, he enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid Nascar fan. He was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, December 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.
