Born in North Granville, April 29, 1922, daughter of the late Lester and Lucy Ann (Parsons) Chappell. Wife of the late Thane Douglas and the late Kenneth Duggan. Mother of Jean Steffler and Denzil Duggan. Grandmother of Raquel McCowan, Mark Steffler and Dawn Ulmer. Great-grandmother of Jayleen Latham. Sister of Jean Harding. Sister-in-law of Shirley Chappell. Brother-in-law of John Meyer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, John Layton; sister Elva (William Sr.) Heffel; brother John Chappell; son-in-law Donald Steffler and brothers and sisters-in-law George Harding, Elma (Albany) Palmer, Ethel Barbour-Meyer (Elmer Barbour), George (Bertha) Douglas, Ray (Annie) Douglas and Keith Douglas. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the North Granville Cemetery.
