Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2008, Lillian Arlene (Pursey) MacEwen went to be with her Lord. Born in Charlottetown, September 13, 1912, daughter of the late Wallace and Ella (Yeo) Pursey. Wife of the late Eric Allen MacEwen. Mother of Eric (Loralie), Charlottettown, Maxine Elson, St. John’s, Nfld., and Allison (Nora), Charlottettown. Beloved grandmother of Timothy (Colette), Jessica, Miranda, Katrina, Cassandra and Rhiannon. Great grandmother of Khiym and Kaeleb. Aunt to Eleanor (Douglas) Jardine, Charlottettown, Elaine (Ed) Yourtee, New Hampshire, and Frankie (Wanda) MacEwen, Ontario. Predeceased by children Eric Howard, and Nancy, sister Eva and son-in-law Gordon Elson. Resting at the MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel, from where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. If so desired, contributions can be made in her memory to The Gideon Memorial Society.
