MAKENNEY, ALBAN B. - Alban Makenney of Saint John passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 12, 2012. Born in Saint John, August of 1927, he was the son of the late A. “Ollie” and Elsie (Belyea) Makenney. Alban was owner and operator of the former Olive Street Garage for many years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Alban is survived by his good friend brother-in-law Calvin Williams of Darlings Island; niece Linda Watts (John) of Grimsby, ON; and friends. Besides his parents Alban was predeceased by his loving wife Janet (Gushue) Makenney, sister Elizabeth Makenney and sister-in-law Sandra Williams.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fund Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. Private family service at a later date.
