It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we, the family of Robert Mulholland announce his passing on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at home, surrounded by family and friends, after a long, courageous battle with ill health.
Born in Sydney Mines on April 15, 1969, he was the son of Audrey (MacDonald) Mulholland and the late Graham Johnston Mulholland Sr.
Bob was well known for his love of working on cars, his loud music, and his dog Tinkerbell. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bob will be forever missed by his loving wife, Tracy (McLeod) Mulholland and his children, Stephen, Michaela, Matthew and Brody. He also leaves behind to mourn his sister, Lisa Boutilier; brothers, Jon (Kim), Graham (Levina) and Kenny; mother, Audrey; stepfather Lawrence Kurgan; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Margaret McLeod; special uncle and aunt David and Hughann Reashore, and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Bob was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, George and Nina Mulholland, maternal grandparents, Hugh and Ruth MacDonald, and his uncle Colin MacDonald.
The family would like to send special thanks to the palliative-care unit and the VON for their continued support, and to Dr. Andrew Wawer and Dr. Bahram Forouzesh.
Visitation for Bob Mulholland will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place Wednesday, at 11 a.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home with Rev. David Hopper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation and Canadian Cancer Society.
