Albert Roche
ROCHE, ALBERT ST. CLAIR - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family announce the death of Albert St. Claire Roche; devoted husband of 55 years of the late Cathryn Louise (Jackson) Roche, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 17, 2012. Born February of 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Frances (Hector) Roche. Albert is survived by his sister Mary Martin of Longueil, Quebec; several nieces and nephews, special and devoted niece Sylvia Seales (Ovid) of Saint John; several great, nieces and great nephews and friends. Besides his parents and his loving wife of 55 years Cathryn “Kay” Louise Roche; Albert was predeceased by brothers Roy, John, Jimmy and Clarence and sisters Mildred Roche, Isabelle Coleman, Josephine Brown and Louise Young. Albert worked for Crosby Molasses for over 41 years and was the head of shipping and retired in 1993. He was head coach for Golden Glove Boxing Club and was dedicated to amateur boxing for over 35 years. He enjoyed bowling with leagues in Saint John.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18th and 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 20th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Albert’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care at the Saint John Regional Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
