At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, May 11, 2008, of Mr. Eugene “Euddie” F. Hayes of Charlottetown, aged 68 years. Beloved husband of Corine “Cokie” (nee Connors) Hayes. Dear father of Cathy (John) Brady of Hamilton, Ont.; Todd, Trent and Tyler of Charlottetown. Euddie is lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Andrew, Nick, Matt, Ryan, Tiffany, Ben, Rebecca and Nicole, his mother, Ethel Hayes of Charlottetown; and brother and sisters, John (Florence) of Hamilton, Ont.; Eleanor (John) MacPhail of Cornwall, Dianne (Bill) Cudmore of Charlottetown, Helen (Norman) Caron of North Carolina, Joan (Rene) Mayhew of Montreal, Que. and Janet (Bill) Kinney of Cornwall. He was predeceased by his father, Wilfred Hayes. Resting at the Charlottetown Funeral Home, 33-35 Longworth Ave., until 10:15 on Thursday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
