Margaret Aileen (Turnbull) Cameron, 70 of Stellarton died December 15, 2012 at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Edith (McClure) Turnbull.
Margaret was a long time resident of Stellarton and Hamilton, Ontario. She was a kind, generous, caring and giving person who loved to play bingo and do crossword puzzles. She was well known for her baking. She was a second mother to many people, and was affectionately known as “Mother Marg” and most recently “Nana Maggie”.
She is survived by a son Adam Cameron, Riverton; daughters: Amy Cameron (Pete Shephard), Hamilton, Ont; Kristine Cameron (Mike Hanlon), Dutch Settlement; brothers: Billy (Debra), Stellarton; Gerry (Nora), Riverton; sisters Kathy (Lloyd) Wilcox, Timberlea; Jane (Lee) MacKay, Stellarton; many nieces and nephews, her special cat Puddin’.
She was predeceased by her husband John Alexander Cameron, step-children: Karen Cameron, Blair Cameron and Gary Cameron, a sister Ruth (Turnbull) Dunn.
Cremation to take place. The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, from where a memorial service will be held 11a.m. Saturday with Rev. Charles McPherson presiding.
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Riverview Adult Residential Center, Riverton or to Summer Street Industries.
